When to Start Shopping for Baby: A Realistic Timeline from One Mom to Another

When I was pregnant with my now 4-year-old, I was convinced I needed every baby gadget under the sun before my third trimester. Spoiler alert: I didn’t. But I also learned that there are definitely some things worth planning ahead for—especially baby gear.

So let’s keep this fun and stress-free. Here’s a realistic timeline of what to buy (and when!) so you can feel prepared instead of overwhelmed. Plus, a few honest mom tips from someone who’s been there—and who might still have a soft spot for baby gear shopping.
